"Revolutionary" BIMfx app may reduce gaps in as-built information

BIMfx is a new software application from StratusVue that allows for greater collaboration through faster updating and sharing of building information modeling files by synchronizing only changes made to a specific model and not the project in its entirety. "BIMfx will be revolutionary for the industry," predicts Kevin Bredeson, virtual construction director for Pepper Construction Co., which beta-tested the product. "BIM benefits the design phase through to the construction phase, but there's always been a gap [with the] handover to the owners. I think this is going to narrow the gap, if not eliminate it."
