Sony's endoscopic surgery device to hit Japanese market next month

Sony said its head-mounted display designed for use by surgeons during endoscopic procedures has earned approval in Japan and is set to be launched there on Aug. 1. The device enables doctors to switch between the surgical site and the monitor showing the endoscopic image in 3D quickly and without changing positions.
