Summer workshop helps N.Y. teachers add rock 'n' roll to lessons

A trio of New York teachers recently visited Cleveland as part of the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame's Summer Teacher Institute, in which educators learn how to incorporate rock music into their classroom lessons. One teacher, Martin Billig, 53, of New Rochelle High School, said he has ideas for using rock music in his American history, philosophy and sociology classes, including the use of marketing, such as Jay Z's Samsung advertisement.
