Adjunct instructors at schools ranked in a recent survey as the best places to work, say flexibility, not pay, is the key to their job satisfaction. Instructors at Rio Salado College, based in Tempe, Ariz., say the school gives them the training they need as well as a feeling of connection. "There's good communication between the support staff and the adjuncts. You don't feel like you're out there in the ether all by yourself," online instructor Janet Montoya said.
