Trip to Turkey allows U.S. teachers to share country's history, experience with students

Fifty-four teachers, including Kevin Holder, art director at Laurel High School in Prince George's County, Md., recently took a two-week trip to Turkey as part of a program focused on art and history teachers sponsored by the Turkish Cultural Foundation and the World Affairs Councils of America. Holder said he plans to show his students images of ceramics, carvings and other designs before asking them to create their own works with Turkish influences.
