Wash. board approves funding for 2 rail projects

Grants for two rail spur projects at the Port of Whitman County in Colfax, Wash., have won approval from the Washington State Community Economic Revitalization Board. The projects are expected to facilitate bulk commodity shipments for a planned $10 million McGregor Co. plant at the port. The port is served by the Palouse River & Coulee City Railroad, which interchanges with BNSF.
