Broadwind Energy secures $34M deal to build wind towers

Tower manufacturer Broadwind Energy won a $34 million deal from an unnamed U.S. wind-turbine manufacturer. The Illinois-based company will be building the towers at is Manitowoc, Wis., facility. "We are currently in late stage discussions to fill the remaining 2015 tower capacity and have started discussions for additional commitments into 2016 and beyond," said CEO Peter Duprey.
