Canadians will pay a premium for fresh food, Loblaw head says

Consumers are willing to pay more for the right assortment of produce and other fresh foods, even when they're shopping at a discount store, said Loblaw Companies Executive Chairman and President Galen Weston. "Early indications across the board suggest that when we put the right proposition in front of the customer, price is not the biggest determinant of what they choose to buy," he said.
