Childhood cancer treatments may affect reproductive health, panel says

Certain gynecological problems facing pediatric cancer patients and survivors should be managed before, during and after receiving treatments, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Committee on Adolescent Health Care said. Gynecologists should be mindful of the effects of cancer treatments on ovarian function and reproductive health, according to the Committee Opinion in the journal Obstetrics & Gynecology.
