Herbs show efficacy in blocking diabetes enzyme

Research published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry says the herbs oregano and rosemary contain polyphenols and flavonoids that block an enzyme associated with diabetes. Researchers also found the area of cultivation affects the herbs' efficacy, as extracts of commercial Greek oregano, Mexican oregano and rosemary fared better than greenhouse herbs in inhibiting the enzyme.
