Researchers get a taste of Mars living at Hawaiian volcano

Researchers have been getting a taste of life on Mars by living in a mockup habitat on a Hawaiian volcano for the past four months. The six-person crew will emerge from their solar-powered dome enclosure today with insights about how people might fare during an extended mission to Mars. "I haven't seen a tree, smelled the rain, heard a bird, or felt wind on my skin in four months," said expedition leader Casey Stedman in an Instagram blog.
