Shift work raises odds of type 2 diabetes onset

Research published in Occupational and Environmental Medicine revealed a link between shift work and increased risk of type 2 diabetes, with even greater odds seen in men and those who had rotating shifts. The results highlight the importance of a balanced diet to prevent diabetes onset in shift workers, experts said.
