Successful wellness plans consider workplace challenges

Successful wellness programs have support from top leadership, incentives and a long-term commitment but also should consider what factors affect employee health, said Retrofit CEO Jeff Hyman. The age of the workforce, sedentary jobs, climate issues that affect access to outside activities and the types of food served in the cafeteria should be considered when creating wellness initiatives.
