Anheuser-Busch complaint sheds light on pitfalls of GM food

The brewing giant is involved in a dispute with Ventria Biosciences over the biotech firm's decision to grow bioengineered rice in Missouri, where Anheuser-Busch buys rice to use in its beer. Ventria has moved its rice farm 120 miles from the nearest commercial rice producer as part of a compromise, and the FDA is considering becoming more involved in the regulation of genetically modified crops used to develop pharmaceuticals.
