Report: Miami's hotel market facing downturn in 2007

According to Torto Wheaton Research, full-service hotels in Miami-Dade County could see a 15% drop in room revenues next year -- the first decline since the hotel market's recovery from the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 -- as guests rebel against exorbitantly high room rates. However, some Miami hoteliers said the forecast was too grim, considering the current strength of the market.
