Public-private partnership uses methane to power chemical plant

A plan to collect methane gas at a Georgia landfill and use it as an energy source at a nearby Dow Chemical plant took years to become reality. "This project is a tremendous example of a public-private partnership where solving real challenges and sustainability like climate change ... also make business sense," said Neil Hawkins of Dow Chemical.
