Profits, sales increase for Snap-On

Snap-On had a second-quarter profit of $45.3 million, or 78 cents a share, an increase of 21% from the prior year, beating analysts' estimates. This year's second-quarter earnings include $3.1 million in restructuring costs. Sales increased 22%, but the company's financial-services arm slumped 90%.
