More gay, lesbian, bisexual teens are homeless, data indicate

Roughly 25% of gay and lesbian teens and 15% of bisexuals in Massachusetts said they were homeless compared with only 3% of heterosexual teens, according to data on more than 6,000 public high school students. The study in the American Journal of Public Health also indicated that 34% of those who were homeless said they were either gay, lesbian, bisexual or still not sure of their sexual orientation. The lead researcher suggested lifestyle situation and acceptance from parents may play a role.
