AGC-Mich. seeks assurance Detroit projects will remain funded

Detroit's filing for Chapter 9 bankruptcy is not expected to affect funding for major city projects, but the Associated General Contractors of America-Michigan is monitoring the situation. "There are so many layers to this, including contractors, subcontractors and suppliers," chapter President Bart Carrigan said. "Like a Chapter 11 bankruptcy, the goal is to communicate the industry's unique needs to decision-makers."
