BNSF: Investments in Bakken region bring good news for Mont. farmers

BNSF's investments in the Bakken region are driven by a surge in crude oil shipments, and these are expected to benefit Montana's agriculture industry, according to BNSF officials. "It's good to hear that the railroad is planning to make significant investments for growth in the northern corridor," said Bruce Wright, Montana Farm Bureau vice president. "They acknowledge the growth will come with challenges, but the investments made will continue to build on the supply chain advantage for U.S. grain producers."
