The growing female traveler segment offers a potentially significant boost in a hotel's customer base, writes Larry Mogelonsky, founder and president of LMA Communications. Hoteliers can better tap demand from this sector through marketing efforts that cater to their preferences, such wellness and experience-based travel. Certain amenities also need to be tweaked to meet the needs of female travelers, including adequate bathroom lighting, good housekeeping service and high-quality bathrobes, Mogelonsky writes.
