Consultant eyed by Wockhardt to boost U.S. drug compliance

Wockhardt has plans to hire a U.S.-based consultant for its drug factory in western India following a warning letter from U.S. regulators over issues related to quality compliance, Managing Director Murtaza Khorakiwala said Thursday. "The consultant has extensive experience and expertise in CGMP (current good manufacturing practices) and will work with the Wockhardt team to address issues raised by the U.S. F.D.A," he said in a statement.
