A lot of engineering goes into the design of what look like simple boards for riding the wake behind boats, writes Eric Butterman. It's a matter of trial and error and deciding the right balance between the board's flex and strength, with a good deal of testing on the water, according to Cody Huff, co-owner of wakeboard maker Wakeology. "It's that willingness to go back to the drawing board, no matter how many hours you've put in ... It's about getting it right," Huff said.
