Ill. school chooses digital books for range of subjects

After piloting a digital math textbook for a semester, an Illinois school has decided to adopt digital textbooks for a range of disciplines. School superintendent and principal John Suarez said the digital books -- available to students at school on iPads and at home via the Internet -- are more cost-effective than traditional textbooks. To ensure all students have access to the new textbooks, the school also will purchase several print copies.
