Landfill methane helps power Neb. ethanol plant

L P Gill is capturing methane from its landfill in Jackson, Neb., and sending it to the nearby Siouxland Ethanol plant, which uses it to supplement its natural gas supply. The methane from the landfill supplies about 10% to 12% of the ethanol plant's gas requirement, said Anthony Gill of L P Gill.
