Obama calls for more infrastructure investment to bolster growth, add jobs

President Barack Obama is pushing for more investment in infrastructure and he vowed to use his executive powers to accelerate projects in order to boost growth and add jobs. "We know strong infrastructure is a key ingredient to a thriving economy," Obama said. "If we don't make the necessary investments to ensure that America's a magnet for good jobs -- investments in ... transportation -- we're just waving the white flag of surrender to other countries as they forge ahead in this global economy."
