Sasol, Ineos plan to build U.S. HDPE facility through JV

Sasol and Ineos have agreed to a joint venture that will build a high-density polyethylene pant in the U.S. The final decision on the investment will be made next year, and the plant is slated to go online in late 2015, according to the companies. "Together we will develop a world-scale HDPE plant which will allow us to monetize ethylene and supply a high quality product," said Andre de Ruyter, senior group executive for Global Chemicals and North American Operations at Sasol.
