Va. wound care device firm closes $3.5M funding round

Soluble Systems has secured $3.5 million in private financing, which CEO Kerry McCarter said would be used to expand the firm's sales force. The Newport News, Va.-based company is the maker of the TheraSkin artificial skin graft and the TheraGauze wound dressing, both of which already have been cleared by the FDA.
