How Changing Face Of Customs Could Affect U.S. Companies

As the Bush administration looks to reshuffle government agencies to strengthen the Department of Homeland Security, some companies involved in international trade are uneasy with the reorganization, according to an unidentified trade association official. The association official says companies are concerned that as part of a new agency, Customs would lose its focus on the importance of keeping goods moving efficiently.
