Manhattan skyscraper will soar to new heights in "green" building technology

A new 945-foot-tall Manhattan skyscraper may be dwarfed by the size and stature of the World Trade Center's 1,776-foot-tall Freedom Tower, but the building will have its own claim to fame -- it will feature some of the city's most innovative "green" technology. The building, to be called One Bryant Park, will feature its own 4.5 MW cogeneration plant, night ice production and other features that are expected to cut the building's energy bills by $3 million per year.
