New technology brings online media and consumers closer

Several big online publishers such as The Wall Street Journal Online and The New York Times Digital are deploying so-called Really Simple Syndication feeds -- a trend some say will significantly change how people consume media. RSS feeds -- which let consumers choose whether to receive fresh tailored news updates -- allow businesses to improve their connection with customers, said a Jupiter Research official.
