NYC's Olympics pitch calls for billions in construction

In an effort to host the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, New York City made a bid to build a $5 billion complex for Manhattan, complete with a football stadium and proposed a $1.5 billion housing project along the East River in Queens. The finalist will be announced in July 2005, but some members on the International Olympic Committee are hesitant to put the Olympics in America for the third time in 16 years.
