"Premium" a matter of ingredients, consumers say

A U.K. study of consumers indicates products labeled "premium" should be made with quality, value-added ingredients and shoppers will pay a higher price when "it authenticates their own feelings of success." The report says "premiumization" is an industry opportunity, and notes ingredient quality ranks far higher in importance to consumers than packaging, celebrity endorsements, fair trade, organic and free range characteristics.
