Office developers turn to LEED to reduce eco-impact, costs

With over 65% of all electrical usage in the U.S. from commercial buildings, many developers are going for LEED certification to build green and cut costs. Over 500 buildings are currently certified under the system and 2,500 are registered, according to an official with the Architectural Energy Corp.
