Minimum-wage hike aids workers

Economists estimated that less than 5% of the work force in Mississippi was affected by the minimum-wage increase that went into effect on Friday. Still, some businesses may have to reduce their hours or lay off workers because their income is down and other costs also are up, says Ron Aldridge, NFIB/Mississippi.
