Cerner, athenahealth and HLTH are expected to benefit from the passage of the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act, which would require the transition from paper-based system to digital health records, because of their health IT offerings. For instance, Cerner is improving the wireless connectivity of its Millennium IT platform, which is based on the health IT law's improved privacy standards.
