Congress pressuring Pistole on collective bargaining

The National Treasury Employees Union is urging members of Congress to join more than 150 of their colleagues in cosponsoring the Transportation Security Workforce Enhancement Act, which would encourage collective bargaining among TSA workers. The authors of that bill, Reps. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., and Nita Lowey, D-N.Y., have drafted a letter to TSA Administrator John Pistole, asking him to "strongly consider providing comprehensive workplace and employment rights" such as whistleblower protections and preference for veterans, in addition to collective bargaining.
