Dozens of congressional Democrats, labor groups and The Boston Globe have endorsed Elizabeth Warren as the first head of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Supporters, who want President Barack Obama to appoint Ms. Warren, said she is the only choice. "It is essential to the bill and very, very important that Elizabeth Warren be appointed," said Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass. Critics, however, question her understanding of the banking industry's needs and concerns.
