Is McDonald's delivering on a local promise?

McDonald's has launched a microsite for Washington state to tout the number of ingredients on its menu that are sourced from local purveyors. The quickservice chain claims 95% of its fries and Filet-O-Fish fillets and 85% of its apples served in Washington are from there. But some experts say the local claim is undermined by the use of a disclaimer that "participation and duration may vary."
