Researchers modify probes for improved shelf life, imaging

Researchers were able to extend storage time and improve the imaging capacity of fluorescent probes by exchanging the hydrogen atom for a deuterium atom during the synthesis of the probes. The modified agents will be easier for companies to commercialize and distribute, a researcher said.
