Alaska to pursue energy projects worth up to $15B

Alaska plans to move ahead with building a proposed $5.4 billion hydroelectric facility on the Susitna River. The 600-megawatt dam is expected to be completed by 2023, but the state needs to apply for a license and find the necessary financing. A 737-mile gas pipeline that could cost between $5 billion and $10 billion is also under discussion.
