Chinese news agency gets coveted Times Square ad space

A prime advertising spot in Times Square, now occupied by HSBC, will soon sport promotional images for Xinhua, the government-run Chinese news agency, which is in the midst of expanding its U.S. business operations. The 60 feet high by 40 feet wide LED display will be unveiled Aug. 1. HSBC's lease on the space was not renewed after it expired.
