What can seniors do right now to prepare for college?

High-school seniors should use the summer months to get a head start on researching and applying to colleges, suggests higher-education consultant Lynn O'Shaughnessy. She writes that seniors should begin examining college prices, use a calendar to track application and financial-aid deadlines, begin writing college essays, complete portfolios and begin researching schools.
