AT&T's U-verse Internet speed upgrades are expected soon

AT&T's upgrades to its U-verse service will increase downstream Internet speeds to 45 Mbps in the coming months, with speeds of 75 Mbps and 100 Mbps expected "in the near future," said John Stephens, AT&T's senior executive vice president and chief financial officer. The push is part of the company's Project VIP, which seeks to expand U-verse by 8.5 million customer locations over three years.
