Leaks appear in roof of N.C. mall that partly collapsed last year

The ceiling of the SouthPark Mall in Charlotte, N.C., began to leak in some places during recent rains, one year following a partial roof collapse at the mall. The cost of repairing the roof, ceiling, walls and other components was nearly $900,000, according to building permits filed last summer. The roof's drainage system was determined to be functioning properly after the recent leaks, and skylight seals that were recently replaced were the source of most of the leaks, according to a press release.
