Ore. schools to serve up local harvest

In Oregon, school nutrition professionals say that state funding to purchase locally grown and processed food will arrive at the beginning of the school year -- which also corresponds with peak harvest time. While schools statewide already are using some local foods in meals, officials expect that to increase with the availability of $1.2 million in reimbursements from the state.
