Project builds on inquiry-based learning in science

High-school students participating in the Exploring Databases project, created by the University of Washington and the Institute for Science and Math Education in Seattle, are learning about genetics and research by exploring smoking behaviors. The award-winning project is based on the idea of allowing students to learn about careers through role-play and real-world experiences.
