The Senate's plans to consider the Shaheen-Portman energy-efficiency bill are still tentative as an agreement on amendments to the bill has not been reached. For example, a potential climate amendment from Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyo., could affect the chances for a vote on the Shaheen-Portman bill, Elana Schor writes. Barrasso said he does not know whether the Senate will vote on his amendment.
