Some imported hot sauces have high levels of lead

A study that tested 25 brands of hot sauces imported from Mexico and South America revealed that four brands exceeded FDA's standard for safe lead content. While these products are not generally highly consumed by children, researchers said that ethnic and cultural practices should be considered. The findings appear in the Journal of Environmental Science and Health.
