Swiss businessman donates $2.5M for plastic surgery professorship

The University of Maryland will use a $2.5 million donation to create a plastic surgery professorship named after craniofacial surgery pioneer Paul N. Manson. Eduardo D. Rodriguez, who led the medical school's recent groundbreaking transplant, will hold the professorship. Synthes founder and former CEO Hansjorg Wyss donated the funds.
